Your Questions, Our Answers

Absolutely! At New Life Therapy, we understand the importance of flexibility and accessibility in today's fast-paced world. That's why we offer both in-person and virtual sessions to cater to your individual needs and preferences. 50-minute sessions are $150 for individuals and $170 for couples. Longer prorated sessions are available upon request.

What kind of access will I have to my therapist outside of sessions?

You will have your therapist's email address and mobile number for booking purposes and in case of emergency. Therapy memes are also welcome.

What denominations do you serve?

We welcome believers from every denomination, as well as those without denominational ties. If you find yourself in a place of questioning or searching in matters of faith, you are equally welcome. Here, you can find a supportive environment for cultivating your mental and spiritual well-being.

What modalities of psychotherapy do you use?
It depends on your unique personality and circumstances. Modalities include but are not limited to, cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, strengths-based therapy, positive psychology, Gottman Method Couples Counselling, and Christian counselling.
When is it time to seek therapy?
People see physiotherapists when they have suffered serious injury. People see personal trainers when they want to achieve peak physical performance. Similarly, a psychotherapist can help you recover from the worst but also aspire to the best. In short, anyone can benefit from therapy. It just depends on your goals and readiness.
Are your services confidential?
At New Life Therapy, we value privacy and take your confidentiality very seriously. You can rest assured that your therapist will take all necessary precautions to protect your privacy. Prior to your treatment, we will review our confidentiality policy with you.
How often do I meet with my therapist?
The frequency of therapy sessions will vary depending on what you and your individual and/or couples therapist have agreed to. Some clients prefer meeting once a week, some bi-weekly, and others once a month. It depends on your unique therapy goals, treatment plan, and availability.
How many sessions do I need?

Every person and presenting problem is different, and therefore the number of sessions indicated by your treatment plan will vary. In consultation with you, therapy could range from being brief and solution-focused to involving more long-lasting work.

What happens if I want to end therapy?
Attending therapy is completely voluntary and can be discontinued at any time. If you feel you are not getting what you want out of your therapy sessions, we encourage you to express your concerns to your therapist so you can address the issue.
